Newport Beach Serial Prowler

Prowler still not in custody!  Calls into Newport P.I. have suggested that the Police Department sketch fits the description of a man that frequents the bars in the 2000 block of W Ocean in Newport.  Newport P.I. directed these tipsters and anyone else with information regarding this case to the Newport Beach Police Department.   Below is a more information from the City’s Press Release:

A prowler has struck residents in the Newport Crest Community of Newport Beach.  This is a neighborhood of town homes located in the area of Superior Avenue and Ticonderoga Street.  The suspect always enters the victim’s home through an unlocked door.  He then stands over the victim while they are sleeping.  The suspect has been verbally confronted on a number of these incidents and he calmly walked out of the home without speaking a word.

There have been a total of 15 incidents since November 2006 that have been attributed to the same suspect.  In one of the most recent incidents, a victim was able to complete a composite of the suspect which is depicted above.  The suspect has been described as a male white, possibly with darker skin, mid 20’s, round face, short spiked brown hair, clean cut/shaven, 5’8” to 6’, average build, wearing a dark long sleeved shirt and dark pants.  In one of the most recent incidents, the suspect was seen wearing a black “Cardigan type” sweater, blue jeans and dark shoes.
